This is the worst housing authority I’ve ever worked with these ppl DO NOT call you back or respond in a timely manner at all! I’ve gone desperate enough to contact others who aren’t even my case worker for help & well what do you know THEY ALL SHARE THE SAME PASSION FOR NOT RETURNING YOUR CALL. Supervisors and all!! It’s absolutely unacceptable. at the end of the day we are the ones having to endore the threats from THEM of being discontinued! Some of us have children, some folks are old, & etc! I can assure you the very ppl in these situations mean business and are just trying to do the right thing to remain on the program. We are not employed with them to know everything that they do so unfortunately help is needed I mean isn’t that technically the point of this program?? -One time I was forced to go out of my way to show up and get assistance even tho I was not helped I was turned down simply because I did not have an appointment and supposedly they were busy! But what the front office didn’t know is while I was there, I would call the office just to see what happens when that phone rings. This woman would deny all calls as soon as they came in and eventually got annoyed and put them on SILENT!!!!!! I then asked her why isn’t she picking up the phones and she says because she is busy. Whole time she was JUST SITTING THERE and I promise you JUST THAT! I wished I had 2 phones because I wanted to record her!!!!! I informed her of what I had just did and she went completely blank and said she was going to get someone in the back! Absolutely shocking I cannot even believe they really treat ppl this way!

Joyce I'm pretty sure you would qualify. Check out home inc that's one place they can explain different avenues. You have to be persistent to accomplish this, just letting you know. Try community bridges, Terros from what I heard are giving out vouchers right now..check anyplace that says they help people that is how I finally accomplished it. Im on disability to.hope this helps you and I wish you the best!!! Dont give up !@!
I would like to know as well..
I would think they still have to finish the contract... till your year is over...
For the choice voucher program that allows you to locate a property you want to rent from private owner you can't just go online and fill out an application. You have to go online and find out when they are opening up the next waiting list to put in an application. I believe there is somewhere you can add your email address so you will get notified before they open up the waiting list but they only open it once every year or every other year and it's only open for 48 hours depending on where your putting in that application and it's first come first serve....if you don't get the application submitted within that time frame you won't be able to apply till the next waiting list opens up. I would suggest getting notifications for every waiting list in your area or as many as possible so you can get on the first one to open up....then you can always get on the ones for the other cities in your area when they open up but it's takes about 5 years of waiting before you get housing .
Hi, I just googled it. It's 623-882-0538. And located at 525 E Harrison Dr, Avondale, AZ 85323. Good luck
I'm sorry I wish I could help been here since May I have a voucher and can't find anyone who takes them. I'm homeless with two little boys voucher expires in a month. SMH will keep you in my prayers as well
How do you know these particular people have anything to do with the section 8 program?
Call Phx Health Dept for the mold ..if landlord don't take responsibility
You must apply with a housing Authority who is currently accepting applicants. HUD does not receive direct applications.
Reach out to your assigned case worker to ask for leads. Some Housing authorities have a housing navigator.
Your situation may qualify for certain options of support. They have programs that assist in mortgage payment situations for existing home owners, section 8 situations, or even if you are seeking affordable housing. Applying for any of these is a different process, so you need to identify first what help you need.
Ok
I would check the city hall for a layout
