Helping hand in time of need. I am learning to accept certain house rules. Clean apartment and priced according to your income. Goodwill dropping food every week helps. Discovered a down side . Upstairs Tenant was placed here with Mental health problems . Making noise and scuffing , dragging, dropping boxes etc all evening into midnite . I complained to him ,management with no resolve.Management has no ability to deal with him. They speak to his handler " caseworker" he temporarily stops but than starts up all over again. It appears that no one can make him change his behavior. My only solution is to move!

People can say how clean this place is but I walk past it almost every evening. Hypodermic needles, trash, bums everywhere demanding money! The ho motel that was there before wasn’t any better but I hoped for better when this place opened. Instead, local residents have to run a gauntlet of beggars that get angry when you say “NO!”

I was living there in 2010. I-45 is right next to it with traffic day and night, the air conditioner ran twenty-four hours a day, and there is a cemetery on the other side. If Houston was green below and blue instead of orange brown above, I might consider going back there.

Walmart supercenter is walking distance. Sellers shopping center is across the highway . Also walking distance.
Ummm Jean no one asked about a WalMart...
Don't forget to eat nutritious foods! Too much trash is bad for the spirit, and good home cooked dinners are good for making a family!
If I remember correctly, the nearest metro stop is across the bridge. Do not go across it at night. People get attacked a lot. During my time there, there was not a ton of AA resources but there was a ton of temptation for alcoholics. If you move there be prepared to take evidence because if anything bad happens it's he said she said. Invest in roach motels.
Think it's section 8 housing for disabled people
What smell? The only thing I ever smell is good being cooked from the restaurant. Keep in mind this is and always has been an industrial area, and is considered east Houston. With that being said there is a pollutant in the air often and has nothing to do with 1 dumpster that gets emptied 3xs a week.
No. Single occupancy and very strict renting policy.
Okay got my answer. Now in development on Reed rd. Thank God for the founders of this organization. Getting people off the streets or just giving people a break when life deals you one. I know where my donation dollars are going when I get back on my feet.
