We are very unhappy with Atria in Carrollton. From overcharging to lack of medical personnel to attitude of the ladies in charge, this facility is terrible. My loved one was supposed to receive assistance with bathing and dressing and for this service we were charged a significant sum in addition to the room and board. We discovered our loved one had not been receiving this care for almost a year, from the beginning of the Covid pandemic. When we questioned the facility manager we were told “as long as an aide had asked if my loved one had showered, that this satisfied the requirement”. I say an “aide” because this is all the personnel they have, there are no RN’s on staff at this facility. There is one LVN who works days M-F, so most of the time, the residents there have no medical personnel on duty. The staff they do have are “Med Techs” which are the people who dispense medications to the residents. It should be noted here that you pay separately for each and every pill your loved one receives, every day, every time, every pill, do THAT math! Also, laundry is not included at this facility, and most rooms have a view of the parking lot. I tell you these things because other facilities are not like this. As we looked for a new residence for our loved one we toured a lot of facilities. The one we decided on is a lot less money, laundry and administration of medicines are included, the grounds are beautiful, and they have 2 full time RN’s on staff. I wrote a long and detailed letter to Atria at their corporate offices and have never received a response. This told me what I had already figured out, Atria couldn’t care less about their residents…and it starts at the top! When considering a home for your loved one these things matter.

A place for mom for me. Could be a place for mom& dad or dad. Good food. Many activities to keep you busy if you live there. Much of staff have worked there for years. Clean, friendly, well kept.
