This team has proven once again that they're the best. After the call it took them 15 to 20 minutes to get to my house and another good 20 minutes at the alley and we had our power back. Its amazing how It takes more time contacting the customer service than a whole electric installation. I didn't get they're names but it's a general thank you to all the technicians at this specific department. Kudos.

My primary complaint is their terrible web interface. It’s designed very poorly and is difficult to use. It needs an update badly. Since this is the primary way many of us interact with Garland power and light this is a big problem. Also, do not forget to pay your water which is part of your electric bill. They give a 15 day grace period and then they shut it off with little or no notice. Much more aggressive than water services in surrounding cities. It’s a bigger problem. because your electric and water are merged on the same bill. So both must be paid together. My experiences with customer service have been average. I have not had any power outages.

They don't give you the choice to shop for A better company. The photo below is after a 30 minute light rain storm. We didn't have power for 2 hours along with 500+ other people. No power lines went down. They just don't care about their customers.

Power went out 15 mins ago 75042 miller and hilltop. Anyone else out?
Late fees are added on the 5tb day after the due date
Yes, if you live in a part of Garland where GPL is the electric provider. All those services will be on a single bill.
If you live in a part of the city that GPL provides electricity, then yes, you will pay the city for both lights and water. They are bundled on one bill along with sanitation and sewer/storm water. That 200 is the deposit. Remember, you're paying a deposit for TWO basic utilities, not just one.
It's based on your application. You will need to apply to find out the exact amount.
They'll still charge the $30, even within the complex, as it's considered a different "premise". Also, make sure your account is current, usually they'll ask for any past due balance to be paid prior to transfer.
No. Most city codes (including Garland) require that if a panel upgrade is done that the panel be moved outside adjacent to the meter base. Its due to safety concerns.
There was earlier but I am told everything should be restored.
That depends. If you're all paid up, the computer there shows it and they have availability of techs.
