It would be the cereal smell......yes Some of the cereal is corn based so it will give off a "popcorn" like smell
Our plant here in Lancaster, Pa, does not make the brown sugar mini wheats. Our plant here is the hub for the east coast and parts of Canada. Another one of our cereal plants either in Memphis, or Omaha or Michigan may make that certain kind. Logistically it may not be feasible to ship that particular flavor here. I do agree, it is one of my favorites as well. My advice to you is ask the store manager to inquire about carrying the brand. I am sure if enough call for it is warranted, they can add it once again to the shelves for sale. I hope I helped.
