Called over 4 times over several months and waited almost an hour each time and they failed to update my address resulting in a letter being sent to the wrong address. Each time I was promised it was resolved, but they still ended up mailing an appointment letter to the wrong address anyway. By the time it was forwarded to the correct address, it was over a week past the appointment and the number on the letter that I was instructed to call had a voicemail that was full for over a month. Even after I was able to leave a voicemail ( I have left at least 4 voicemails), I still haven’t heard back from the lady and my son’s benefits are cancelled. The guy that answered said they “just answer the phones,” and he can only send me to her voicemail. My work schedule doesn’t allow me to make it in office. Most times the phone just rings and then silence followed by a disconnected call. A lady at another location finally updated the address for me (took 6 months to find someone who actually did it).

Don't believe everything you hear ✔ the facts.
It is pretty easy on their website. It tells you the steps and everything you need to submit. Some things you will need are: Treating doctor's name and phone number. Last date you worked. Name of last employer. Must fill out a questionnaire, telling them how your life has changed since your disability ie: can you dress and feed yourself, can you do your regular activities, etc.

This is eerily similar to what I have experienced when calling the bank the unemployment office set me up with. I apologise for not being able to help you. Which unfortunately may be the only sympathy either one of us sees from this... I can however tell you my friend that there are a f#@k ton of other people going thru similar experiences and we are not alone. Not that that really does much to rectify either of our situations.
