Lazy and Incompetent. They have the cables running down the alley fully exposed and not up to City Code. I have told them this several different times and now I have tripped over the cables and will be bring a lawsuit for my injuries. The only way they will correct their own problems is to sue them... do not give them you business or money. They are the Worst!

Hi Karen, great question! Both the Garland Recycling Center and the Hinton Landfill Convenience Center have World Wear Project dropboxes. If the fabric has a hole or stain it may be cut up and turned into oil rags.
Cans must be placed out for collection by 7a.m. on your assigned collection day.
Put it to the curb. Make sure you do not block it with a vehicle. Do not put it under a tree. If you have any further questions please contact Garland EWS.
Hi Babar Ali Khan, the Garland Recycling Center located at 1426 Commerce St., Garland, TX 75040 accepts used motor oil free of charge from residential use. The motor oil cannot be mixed with anything. Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Great question, PHẬT GIÁO TV! Please consider the material to either the Transfer Station: 1434 Commerce St., Garland or the Hinton Landfill: 3175 Elm Grove Rd., Rowlett. If you live in Garland or in the surrounding areas one of these spots is going to be closest to you for trash disposal. Please tarp your truck before beginning your journey. More information can be found at www.GarlandEWS.com
Howdy Jim, car parts dealers and scrap buyers in the area may be interested in your bumper and grill depending on condition. You may also bring car parts to Hinton Landfill for disposal as long as they are free from any fluids.
Great question, Ken. If the paint cans are dry we take them. If the cans still have wet paint, please take them to the Dallas County Home Chemical Collection Center located at 11234 Plano Rd. in Dallas. Bring your ID.
Great question, Don! Residents can place peanut oil and other cooking oil in a container (plastic preferred) with a lid that screws on and delivered to any of the "Cease the Grease" stations. Garland's Recycling Center: 1426 Commerce St., Garland, TX 75040 and the Hinton Landfill Convenience Center: 3175 Elm Grove Road, Rowlett, TX 75089 are two options for drop-off. The cooking oil is used to generate electricity.
Because of the numerous conditions totally out of their control like weather, other customers, etc., etc., etc., Garland staff cannot possibly guarantee a specific trash pickup time.
Call the City and let them know. They'll either repair or replace it at no cost to you.
No they are not
Some are still in service, some have been replaced with new units
You must contact customer service for any pick up issues

Hello Kim! Great questions! 1) If your fire extinguisher is completely 100% empty, you can bring it to be recycled in the metal recycling container at the Residential Recycling Center, 1426 Commerce St. 2) A vacuum cleaner would have to be disposed of in the trash, unless you can save it until our next electronics recycling even in the fall. 3) We do not do regular paper shredding - you'll have to wait for our next event in the fall or bring it to another local event (check out https://www.unitedelectronicrecycling.com/recycling-events/) 4) 100% empty aerosol cans can be thrown in your blue recycle cart or placed in the mixed recycling cart at the Residential Recycling Center. If they still have stuff in them, or they held something hazardous, please bring them to the Dallas County Home Chemical Collection Center at 11234 Plano Rd. Thank you!
Hi Karen - we have a number of routes that are down this week and we are trying to catch up as best we can. Please give us a call at 972-205-3500 and our service team can let you know where your neighborhood is on our list! Thank you!

Hi Julia, thanks for your question. We do not offer free compost at this time.
We accept all household trash, some construction waste, brush and bulky goods. We also take recycle materials at the neighboring Residential Recycling Center. If your furniture is still in usable condition, we highly recommend taking it to a donation center like Goodwill, a local thrift store, or the Salvation Army. We've also seen amazing success selling furniture on the Facebook Marketplace or some other platform. Finding ways to make sure your items remain in use and avoid the landfill is preferred!

Hi Denise - contaminated items and items in the green trash cart go to the landfill. We thank you for working with your family members to keep our recycling clean. Remember, items are recycled to be turned into new items and if they are dirty they can't be used by the manufacturers.
Just call in a missed pick up and they will tell you why or come get it.
