I have never seen an organization with so many employees unwilling to do their job. If you need anything done expect to make 3 trips to MSB before finally get any helpful assistance. Every issue is always another department or employees responsibility and nearly always after going to that referred to department they tell u to go back to L&I. Also the eclipse system is incredibly slow and riddled with glitches (which of course no one at L&i is able to fix).

The city of Philadelphia has some DEEPLY rooted systemic issues that need to be addressed probably DECADES ago. Low income communities THINK they have the help and support of organizations like L&I, The Fair Housing Commision, Councel persons offices and etc when it comes to housing and landlord issues but, it’s a catch 22. It’s disrespectful and insulting to be SO BOLD about how they handle things. Just thinking, watching and listening with “common sense,” it’s just OVERWHELMING. I think the plan is to SPIN people SO MUCH that they just give up. Not me. Making what has happened to ME public knowledge is GOALS!.. I’m heading for a platform to make people aware and HOPEFULLY root out/ BREAK the suspect under cutting system for the citizens of Philadelphia who may have to ask for assistance from these organizations. The conduct of my local offices has been VERY confusing and SUSPECT. I feel this is necessary and needed. ESPECIALLY after the indictment of L&I Deputy Commissioner. It’s the chain. Not just ONE link. I know I’m not the only one.

Landlord can give you a notice to vacate with 30-60 days (depending on lease agreement). But it wouldn't be considered an eviction. Its similar to the tenant giving the landlord a notice to vacate. You can always ask why they gave you a noticr, it could be because you have a balance, destroyed property, etc. It is probably best to vacate than to have the landlord file for court (because it will not be on your credit) unless you believe you did nothing wrong AND do not have a balance on your account with them.
Okay wow! Mr Michael Brandon is wrong. Start by writing an email to your landlord with regards to repairs needed. Then call 311 filing a license respect inspection report. It will take them approximately 10 days to come and do your first inspection. It is your right to live in a habitable safe and clean unit. The problem with Philadelphia slumlords is that they take Mr Brandon's advice and just leave instead of making slumlords responsible for the degradation of their property

There's no Robert Williams I know I'm Hazel Williams my name I never been married that's right my name is Hazel Darlene McFadden Williams on my birth certificate I hold my father's name and my stepfather's name since 1974 to collect my VA checks and Hazel Williams 1974 that's where I brought all of my property and I never sold it in 5 years the city has sold my property illegally
