Landlord can give you a notice to vacate with 30-60 days (depending on lease agreement). But it wouldn't be considered an eviction. Its similar to the tenant giving the landlord a notice to vacate. You can always ask why they gave you a noticr, it could be because you have a balance, destroyed property, etc. It is probably best to vacate than to have the landlord file for court (because it will not be on your credit) unless you believe you did nothing wrong AND do not have a balance on your account with them.
