The day we toured, the upper two levels of the mansion were closed because of the heat. A slight disappointment, but our docent was very knowledgeable and friendly. I'm looking forward to returning when the weather is a bit more cooperative.

According to the Elwood house website, they are closed on all Mondays during your season.
Yes they still have an area for parties in the museum building and that area is handicapped accessible the main house is not handicapped accessible
