This is a terrible place to stay. It's OLD AND NO AIR CONDITION THE BATHROOM STOOL LEAKS NO TV IN BEDROOMS. When it's 90 degrees outside and no air conditioner to HOT. The little bar and restaurant is π. I ordered pizza no hamburger pizza no ice tea . If you get a pop you get a bottle and a cup of ice. The close at 9pm. So far donβt care for the place or the town.

Nice spot to shred the gnar. Went the last weekend of the season and there were a few spots of brown/branches, but generally it was still good. We were able to watch pond skimming at the base area and that was really fun. The mountain has some nice pockets of blue runs all over, fun to spend a day checking them out. In general kind of a small resort and run area. There's some free parking by the resort if you get there early, but otherwise parking is $15/day. There are a few bars/restaurants at the resort, but you probably want to eat/drink in town for more choices and better prices. Minimal chain stores here :)

Best mountain in Colorado. Has everything from smooth rolling green/blues to the steepest EX terrain you can find. Epic scenery and a more classic feel than the closer front range mountains.

I had a wonderful trip in late January/early February. I went during the week, it was very uncrowded, no lift lines. Employees were friendly. Snow was great, well groomed runs. They have two high speed quad chairs at the base which get you to the top of the mountain quickly. I have read all sorts of bad press about Vail Resorts ownership and mismanagement. I witnessed no problems, I think the locals naturally are adverse to big conglomerates buying their resort. The town of Crested Butte down below is a short and easy drive with lots of neat and funky bars and restaurants and shops. If you want to escape the crowds and have more laid back atmosphere than Vail or Aspen, Crested Butte is the way to go ! I stayed at the Grand Lodge and it was a nice property, only a five minute walk to the lifts.

You can park pretty much anywhere in town. There are a few lots that don't Allow overnight parking though.
No, closed
There are three designated uphill trails. One if them is marked "All-Day Route" and goes to the umbrella bar.
Yes. The torchlight parade and fireworks start around 5:30pm..
The main roads should be maintained unsure how far up the hill will be cleared.. Beautiful place to run.
Unsure. Haven't been since August.
