My mom has been at Heritage Woods of McHenry for three years and I am extremely grateful for the staff who are all so kind and caring. Because of COVID restrictions and not being able to personally visit her, they have each done all the heavy lifting these past 11 months; from providing emotional support and laughter, celebrations, healthcare, and help with things she needed in her apartment – all with a genuine spirit of compassion and kindness. Mom recently spent a few weeks in a rehab facility and the level of care was strikingly diminished. Thank you Heritage for who each of you are and the great work you are doing!

I have worked here for almost 7 years and have been a cna for 15. This is the best place I have worked at. The residents are amazing and the management and staff are respectful and beyond helpful. We're like one big family. Residents and families always come first and that is how it should be. I would definitely recommend Heritage Woods to anyone.

I'm sad to see poor reviews, as my mom has lived here for over a year now. The residents are well looked after, communication is top notch, the environment is clean, homey, warm and welcoming. Any concerns we have regarding our mom are addressed quickly and with care. It's a wonderful place and my sister and I have been so thankful that we were able to get our mom moved in. We don't worry about her a bit because we know she is living in a safe, friendly, caring place.

They do have WiFi and there is no charge.
Brenda contact them, my mom has a companion cat which was allowed. From my knowledge if it is a campion animal and you have a doctor's order you may have them but you must be able to physically care for them yourself. Also there may be size restrictions. I'd call and ask them gor specifics
Hi Chrissy, we are an affordable assisted living community. Please give us a call if you'd like to discuss further. We are staffed 24-7 with certified nursing assistants and provide assistance with activities for daily living.
Get in touch with them for specifics, but yes, they do take Medicare/ Medicaid. A lot depends on the level of care needed. My mom has been there three years now, and I can't say enough good things about them. Very few places like this left unless you can afford huge out of pocket expenses.
