I just started here @ WillowBend as a charge nurse and I absolutely feel like I am part of a family. Such a refreshing place surrounded by some of the most talented people in healthcare. Everyone speaks to me it feels like I have known my co workers for years. I am so excited to come to work and the patients really are amazing they are cared for like you would care for your own family members. That makes me feel so proud to be a part of this team. We are beginning to allow visitors back into our facility. I'm sure our residents would enjoy songs and new activities. Please contact our activity director Misty Ames at 972.279.3601.
We don't have set visiting hours. We like to make our patients/residents accessible to family and friends. However, the front doors are locked from about 8:30pm to 7am during the week and 5pm-8am on the weekends. During the after hours you may enter at the back of the facility. You will have to ring a doorbell for access.
We like to feel our nursing staff is very competent and compassionate. We have nurses and certified nurse aides that have been with us for several years and are a great asset to our facility. When hiring new staff, it is with due diligence that we try to maintain that same level of quality. However, We do find that not all hired are a fit to our facility.
We don't technically have a studio. Our rooms are private and shared. In the rehab, rooms are mostly private, but occasionally, based on availability, some patients may be in shared rooms. Those costs are usually covered by insurance with exception to co-payment. Long-term care residential are generally shared rooms as well. They are currently $161 per day for room and board. If we have a private room available it is $175.
