Great place to be, they really help you and give you the tools and resources to succeed. The staff went above and beyond to help with my needs. From the techs, to the nurses and everyone else, I'm thankful for the services they provided.

Thank you Homeward Bound for my sobriety!! I was addicted to pain pills. Did not get in the first day because I didn’t get there early enough. Arrived the next day at 5am and was the second person in line. They only take about 5 a day, according to how many people leave that day. They gave me meds asap once admitted. The staff was friendly and caring and a lot of them are recovering addicts themselves so they understand what your going through. They want you to go to group every day, which is only for your benefit anyways. The food is so-so, but it’s state funded and free to you so who am I to complain about food? The amazing staff and love and care I got and help with my sobriety outweighs anything else!! Much love and thanks to you all!!!

Yes my thought as well
First come first serve basis and ppl start lining up at around 3-4 AM as they only take a limited amount of ppl.
Congrats I seen your review did you get in? Guessing you no longer live in Dallas by this review
You will need to get there early in the morning, bring ID and clothing. They will help with whatever you need during intake.
It is a case by case basis
Bring cigs if you smoke and your id
No, we have not opened yet. We are also eager to get started -- we will let you know when we do.
Up to 6 months... My bro inlaw got arrested Oct.13 and just got a bed on Thursday the 12th of March...
There's 5 day detox, 7 day crisis and 28 day residential inpatient services per availability. Only for those who prove residency and have no health coverage.
Yes. You can call its in Dallas. Plz go its a life changing being sober.
They got the 28 day program with a waiting list wich is alot of b's and the suboxans program as well I would sudgest that u try to do it some where ELS if have other options thus place has lost its touch trully they won't just let ANYONE in no more it bad to bad for the good of the good staff that's ther too
No you just show up. Honestly its good to be there extra early. You will have a better chance getting in that day. As a matter of fact, people show up as early as 4 am. Still they aren't the first in line. Regardless, they are seen that day. And if they aren't able to get in that day. They put you on the list and tell you to be first in the door the following day. And you do it again. Odds are you will get in next day. If not you keep going until you do. Don't give up. Persistence pays off.
😁😁, not so much anymore
Every day. Were able to make calls to our love ones. 7 days aweek. The women calls out at 6:30pm n at 9:00pm.
They did when I was there. It's the best program around, btw. Also the only place in Dallas county that will detox an opiate addict w/o insurance. They save a lot of lives.
How much is it for detox for 5days?
Don't work there anymore, but as far as i know yeah,,, in detox

No they close weekends. You have to arrive before 12 on weekdays.
Yes unless you are on some kind of probation that don't allow you to smoke. They have 7 smoke breaks.
As short as 14 days, longer as needed.
Saturday and.Sunday you have to be there early for.a class .
Up to 6 months... Friend just waited 5 months got locked up in lewlew dallas oct 13th... Got bed 13th of March 2020
The crisis center is 7 day inpatient.
It's not like them other places they'll let you go u don't have to stay and they won't force you to stay they'll just et you ur discharge papers and your good to go...un less ur there for a court orderd... but they don't call the cops on no one thats nor what they do unless ur doing some ur not suposed to then tell get the cops but other then that they won't let them in for no other reason...
Yes they allow vistors it depends on the unit your love one is housed to determine what day is visitation.
Time on all units vary by funding so once you come in for an assessment a timeframe can be determined. Usually 3-7 days for Detox and you may bring clothes but mainly scrubs are worn on the unit with a few exceptions.
You have to turn them in. There are 4 smoke breaks. After breakfast, lunch, dinner and after evening group.
Just passing by or at visitation on the weekend
Before 6:00am. They open doors at 7:00am & it's first come first serve. If they do not have any open beds, ask to be put on the waiting list. I went up there 3 different times and they were full. That's when someone told me there was a waiting list. Staff never told me that!
They do NOT use methadone or Suboxone.... they use Subutex... muscle relaxers, anti nausea medication and antibiotics... sleep meds.... I just left detox Saturday and it was the easiest kick off heroin I've ever been through.. I'm 45 years old and kicked all kinds of opiates and in all kinds of places... Homeward Bound really came through
They do intake on Mondays! But go there as soon as you can and get the process started. Once they. Evaluate you they will tell you how long your treatment will be and what they can and will do. You dont need ids address any of that stuff. They will hel] you to obtain all of that if you stay in the program. Grant ,Wendy and Dr.Rosebud and Homeward Bound Saved my Sons Life with their program.
Homeward Bound has a Crisis Unit, Detox Unit, and Men's & Women's Residential Rehab.
Yes, they have a several week waiting list right now. After you get there, request a "recovery coach," they can reserve a bed for you at Homeward Bound or Turtle Creek Recovery Center. Also, call Nexus. It's a treatment center for women. They also have recovery coaches.
I will need to continue my Suboxone, probably for life. I'm a liver who has turned my life around, but I've found through many trial and error that I cannot function without it. I don't want to chance getting into a position where I have to get heroin to keep from going into withdraw. Please let me know. I have to set something up in Dallas and I have been to homeward bound many years ago to detox.
Yes sir
Yes
Homeward bound is a good facility for rehabilitaion
The answer given is correct..you will have to speak with OSAR in Texarkana which will in turn contact Homeward Bound if they deem necessary.
Due to HIPAA we are not allowed to give information concerning a patient. If you are a family member you may be able to call the facility.
You can call Homeward Bound there is a shelter just for HIV persons. Does this person have SSI or private Ins?
Nope
Did you get on the women's waitlist ?
And u can do iop sop classes
Men and women hang around together while in detox or treatment? No fraternizing obviously, but recovering together sounds perfect for me. I’ve been apart of NA for four years, and unfortunately lost my mojo. Stopped doing the work. Hope this can get me back.
Yes
Only during visiting hours when i was their
Our residential program may have a limited number of bus passes. I am in Outpatient and we do not. Call the residential side to make sure.
Haven't been there in a long time. Theres a place called solace in the love field area that does.
Only if we gave consent
28 days
Homeward Bound is on a first come, first serve basis so the earlier the better and there is comprehensive mental health services available as well both on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
They do both, but they like to have you inpatient first to detox. Especially for opiates.
Its a state facility. Free to us poor drug addicts. Not many junkies have money or insurance to pay for treatment. BTW, it's a good facility. Only place in the county that can medically detox heroin/opiate addicts that i know of besides jail.
How long does it usually take
Do you have insurance?
Yes you can
Be sure you're fixed up for about 6 when you show up. You got a lot to do checking in.
Get a motel room and some benzos to help the pain
Ask hr
Beatrice Blue, if you're not sure you don't have to answer. They was not asking you specifically.
Within the next few weeks. I understand that the building is in the inspection phase. Everything else is in place.
