Well, I highly recommend checking out this simple walk around the hot springs if you're in town. Don't skip the wire bridge, it leads to some amazing views. The bath house next door is also very nice and free as well to swim in the mineral rich hot waters.

Hot Springs State Park is easily the coolest State Park in Wyoming! The geothermal features and pools are amazing and second only to Yellowstone. The swinging bridge is a little nerve wracking to cross, but really fun with amazing scenery! The whole thing is just a really nice experience. I look forward to going back and spending more time there.

Great state park! Super cool to walk around and see everything. Love the free bath house you get to relax in for 20 minutes, but then you can go every 2 hours. 😊

We stopped over to see the hot springs on our way to Cody and it was worth it. First off, entrance is free, which is great. You can walk all around the hot springs and across the swinging bridge, it's great. It's a beautiful green patch in the middle of what seems like desert. There's a great play ground and there are several "pay" pools and hot pools. Great place!

Dogs are allowed in the park itself, in leash. They are not allowed into the hot pool areas

St Vincent Hospital in Billings Montana? If so...188 miles.
No cost to visit park. There is a cost to go swimming in the hot springs/pools. It cost around $35 for 2 people to go into the hot springs.
I believe either right before dark or after dark but I'm not sure
The state bath house hot tubs are free. Their hours are limited and they limit your pool time to 20 minutes. There are two other pools in the park that are more for recreational purposes. They are also fed by the hot springs. They do charge fees I know that the TP is around $14 a day. Unless you go in after 6 and then I believe it's half price. They stay open until 9 and they are usually open almost every day except for around Christmas and Thanksgiving.
Yes, there is a small playground. A pond with koi fish to feed and lots of picnic areas. Both of the Hot springs pay establishments have slides and areas for children to play. The free hotsprings is ok for children if supervised but a little boring.
