I found 2 cats Tuesday at Walmart, I unfortunately have a 1 year old who is allergic to cats and don’t know anyone who can take them so I brought them here. Horrible place, front desk lady turned around as I was trying to explain to her I found the cats, she was completely rude and told the other lady “ugh she found 2 cats” as she proceeded to talk to her about someone else. Later she grabbed the cats as if they were nasty trash bags. If you don’t like working with animals they shouldn’t.

I am beyond furious. I have been to the pound everyday this week when they open trying to adopt a kitten. I was told something new each day as to why they weren't available yet and to please come back the next day...all the while they were pushing me hard to adopt an adult cat. I explained each day why an adult cat wasn't possible at our home. I arrived this morning only for them to tell me that a rescue came and collected all the kittens. Know why? Profit. These "rescues" can now charge $175 instead of the $25 at the pound. I am going to file a complaint with the BBB and the city. They care about the profit...not the animals. Disgraceful.

They were very helpful. They were genuinely concerned about my missing pet. I pray I get him back

Worst experience ever… a facility full of homeless animals and I arrived 1 min after 5:30 wouldn’t let me adopt a kitten because I was 1 min late lol sad our tax dollars pay for these kind of workers …

Notify the shelter. You'll probably be allowed to keep the canine companion, but if you're not sure, it's always best to reach out. If the dog's owner is looking for him, it helps if everyone has all the information needed
18+. No other restrictions. No appointments are needed. Just show up with your paperwork and they'll set you up. You can arrive as early as 6am Mon. thru Fri. Open till 4pm I believe. There are weekend times as well. You will spend most of your day patrolling dog pens for droppings.
They are almost always too busy to answer the phones. You must leave a message and they will call you back.
what did you do with them? where are they? cause I found 5 kittens I am trying to rescue, because the mom cat ran into traffic
CCAS does take donations.
No...you have to schedule an appointment actually 🙄
Not sure... From what I saw, it looks like they do have the capability to do so. You may want to reach out directly to find out.
They do not have an area where dogs can meet adoptable cats. They do have an area where your dog can meet adoptable dogs though.
You need to call and leave your name and phone number and a brief message about what you need. They will call you back.
You should go in and meet the puppy. If they are not there, you may find one you can't live without. They cannot hold dogs so no guarantee she will be waiting.
You will need to call to make an appointment to turn him over. I'm sure you need to provide proof of ownership or something. I think the fee is $50 but it may have changed.
Their Facebook page announces events for volunteer training and you sign up through that. Usually about once a month. They require at least 4 hours a month.
If you are zoned for that shelter, yes. They are closed on Mondays unfortunately. I hope you brought it in.
Just call and let them know where they will take care of the rest
They do not get them very often.
You need to go in and find about it. You just go to the front desk and they will tell you the best time to come in and what to bring with you.
Yes but i believe they go to auction. I don't believe they adopt them from there.
It really depends. Some are older dogs, who are set is their ways, while others around willing to share their lives and learn. I got a 9 month old mix who is begging to be my service dog! Lol, I'm considering giving in!
They will take them for donation if clean.
Awe... Yes you can... So sweet! But I agree that you should go asap... Puppies and kittens go faster then adult animals.
Trap it and take it to the shelter
8:00 am. Get there earlier, though, they only have a limited amount of volunteer spaces, and they fill quickly.
As I said, I need to take B.J. to the vet and we know the vet is going to want to do surgery. We can Not afford it. Is there a vet in collin county that will take care of her issues at little to no cost. A free clinic for pets would be great.
Online or you can call and leave a message and they will call you back. You can also ask them exactly what you need to do on their Facebook page.
You need to make an appointment but yes, they take them. There may be a fee.
You can post on your local NextDoor site to see if your neighbors can help you find him. If you call Animal Control they will try and capture the animal. They will then take it back to the shelter where the owner will have to pay a fee to retrieve their pet.
They don't kill the animals for anything other then health concerns. They won't make an animal that has an irreversible painful condition suffer. But, if an animal just isn't adopted for a while, they won't kill it.
I believe they are. I have seen many people pick up their animals but i think only if animal control picked them up. I don't know if you can bring them in.
