August 22, 2021. A nice surprise. I've driven by here from time to time during my life but for once, I pulled over. I went to the top of the building before taking the little hike. It's all sidewalk so I didn't even need to change shoes. The walk takes you to an upper level and all along the way there are interpretive signs; very nice ones at that. You can observe this very rough topography interspersed with some desert-like flora. There are significant cracks and holes in the earth. I did take pictures and made a video as well.

I stopped to stretch the legs and hike for about 1 mile beautiful scenery and all on a concrete path.

Really cool place, like a mini Craters of the Moon. Lots of Pokemon Go, if you're into that, also geocaching. A nice little trail.

It's really cool to see the rock formations formed by the lava flows and there is a nice little observation deck with bathrooms and vending machines. There's also an easy trail to see more of the formations.

I don't think so. This is a few walking trails off of a rest stop.
