I live here. No joke. Burton Barr only lets you take two bags in now because they might have COVID in them, but you can still shave there sometimes, if the fake Guatemalan cop isn't looking. Plus they have WiFi.

Gotta love your local library.
Save yourself some money on just about everything from movies to museum passes they’ve got it. And it’s free!
Yes, the computers are free to use. There are two areas where the computers are located. diversity computers you do not need to have a library card to use however there is a 15-minute limit with it.

If your state ID has a Phoenix address on it that's all you'll need. Otherwise just a ID and a piece of mail with a Phoenix address on it.
Visit their website and look under jobs, careers, employment etc. Usually only part time is available. A lot of the librarian jobs require bachelor or masters degrees.
Yes. You can drop them off in the donation at any location. Burton Barr has a green donation box, as for other phoenix branches, they may also be green.
I believe the papers and journals/magazines are on floor five. If you ask the help desk (right side of the elevators, 5th floor), they'll be more than happy to help you find them. Have fun! :)
They are also open, but for limited hours, both on Saturday and more limited still on Sundays. I'm pretty sure they open Monday through Friday earlier than 12:30, but check Google Maps or the library's website to be certain!
Burton Barr Central Library is now open to the public. Please take a look at our website for current hours.

This library I know for sure has been open but the staff here say the amount of people have been around 75% less than what they've seen since pre-covid
Is this library open inside? Or is it only pick up due to coivd?
Don't complain, suggest a (correct) edit!
Can't tell you how many times I've submitted updates, but as soon as it's correct, some "helpful person" (insert expletive) submits a change showing the wrong hours again.
Saturdayand Monday 9 to 5
Tues thru thurs 9 to 9
Sunday 1 to 5 are the hours

As far as I know they do not offer G.E.D. classes, but DO offer computer classes at most of the library locations. Here is a link to where classes are available. http://www.azed.gov/adultedservices/program-locations-by-county/

3110 N Central Ave, in Park Central. Go to the middle of the center and across from The Good Egg is a glass enclosure, this is the entrance. The Park Central library is located downstairs.
