If your child plays basketball, take them somewhere else to play. My son’s team, as well as the opposing team’s playoff game was ended with 2 minutes remaining, because two parents got in a fight during the game. The next game was cancelled and the kids never got a chance to finish playoff games. The kids were so disappointed, because they were only two games away from playing the championship game in the Suns arena. Now we are stuck paying for a membership for the rest of the year, which we won’t be using.

I agree with Jane's comment....sports program gives preferential treatment DEFINITELY....they allow DUSTIN and MARY to run this facility in any way they see fit....as a mom and a grandma, I can attest to the fact that this facility IS NOT a healthy environment for diversity at ALL...Torrence has NO SAY, and it is obvious that they have made him the token of the facility....I am APPALLED at how this YMCA is being ran compared to the ones in other states....and complaining does not help....through speaking to other parents we found out Mary's daughter ANDREA use to run the Christown YMCA sports program the SAME WAY, so apparently it's a 'family affair' when it comes to deciding who works for them...NEPOTISM at its finest. To anyone who is moving to the valley or recently moved here, DO NOT sign your children up for the sports program at this facility or Christown....MARY, DUSTIN, AND ANDREA are creating a very TOXIC environment...and the president of the Valley YMCA is ALLOWING IT!!!! If I can stop ANY family from experiencing what we have experienced, then I am at peace. DO BETTER YMCA....SERIOUSLY.

This YMCA is unorganized and tan poorly. My son plays youth basketball and they cancel practices which we already paid for. We are forced to practice outside which is too hot, but it’s the only way we get to practice. Yea The schedule is non existent and changes hourly. We had a game that was scheduled for 4:30 and just found out it was rescheduled for 1:30. It is tough to accommodate this YMCA with changes being made at the last minute.
