This is not a facility that I would recommend that anyone put a family member in. After the loss of my son's father in this facility and another family member being placed there even produmore so why it will never happen again in my family. My most recent experience with this facility and a conversation with the director and the director of nursing it turns out that not even the director is familiar with devices and equipment and any other type of materials that a patient requires or needs, his staff fabricate stories and the most aggravating situation is they found an xcuse to send my family member back to the hospital Saying that her port wouldn't flush which they never attempted to do. Upon informing the Director and the Nursing director of a situation that was left too long without a nurse's response, they couldn't give a good enough reason as to why, i will be filing a complaint with the Department of Licensure, BOMAX. the nursing board, and the County Health Department for an impromptu inspection of the facility. The sending her back to the hospital and telling her she would be going to a different facility proves to me that they know their not up to proper standards of care and didn't want to have any more interaction with me. Boy was that a mistake, I don't go away that easy

I have worked at Heritage Court for 2 years and it is great. The staff are incredibly friendly and the whole team is a lot of fun to work with.

My mother was transferred there March 14th for therapy and during her stay there she went from an independent senior to an invalid. Any time we asked the nurses, case worker or any member of the staff it was a broken record of "GI bleed and where's a power of attorney ". The one time they actually allowed us to see her, we asked the RN station why our mom was bedridden and in diapers when she wasn't before, we were told no comment. I understand the privacy act, but to ignore the pleas of children was overboard. When she was discharged on 4/1/22, they said she was approved to stay for $100 a day, but again no mention as to why she could or why she was 100x worse than when she got there. Eight days later she passed away and even now they refuse to tell us anything.

I took my mom here several years ago and never had any problems at all. The staff and nurses were very helpful. My mom, which is almost blind started having problems with what day it was and the time. She was in the first stages of dementia and would forget to drink her water or try to hide her blood pressure meds or accidentally drop them thinking she took them. The home was always very clean and when I would walk in they always had iced water on the table for her or she was being fed or showered. She had an incident where she fell and they contacted me right away to let me know they took her to the hospital and did X-rays but no broken bones. When my mom came home over a month later she had not only put on some weight but her mind seemed to be much better. I would definitely recommend this home if anyone asked my opinion. They treated my mom with such love and care.
