Great place. Been visiting this store about 20 years. I’ve spent a lot of time in Japan and my wife is Japanese and they have all of those things you don’t see in the ethnic aisle at the regular grocery store. Most of their products are directly from Japan. They have more selection than a typical convenience in Japan. It is also owned by Japanese folks.

Awesome spot to shop for Japanese items. I usually go to Seiwa but they didn’t have uni at the time. Daido saved my cravings. They also actually answer the phone to inform you if certain items you question is in stock. Thankfully I had a heads up before making the drive. Thank you! Near the end of the day there were some discounted onigri and some baked potatoes. I was super happy to add to my dinner. Lots of deals here.

Wear your mask and keep 6ft from another patron of the store
If not available at Nippan Daido then try Seiwa market on Dairy Ashford.
If that particular yam is a staple of japanese cuisine then my guess is "yes, the Nippan Daido will have it for sale." Any visit will be worthwhile in terms of time well spent.
Yes they have small packages with a few slices that are perfect for ramen
No mom
Yes. Yes. Yes Daido is still open. The former managers bought it, and they are doing an excellent job. This is why I posted my review, begging people to go support them, so they can stay open.
Nippon Daido's last day of business was Sept. 30. What a loss. I will miss their kimchee and cold noodle bowls. R.I.P.
Yes.
Last I went, yes.
No, you can get plastic lucky cat at Daiso.
Yes they do!
No they did not, but I am sure if you asked the owners they could get them. It go to Seiwa Market on South Dairy Ashford.
I don't think so. This is a Japanese grocery store with mostly Japanese or Asian imports.
I have not seen it there. It is just a small store.
If you have liver decrease, diabetes or weaken immune system raw oyster can cause serious illness or even be fatal. Eat at your own risk, I would not recommend it.
they do have excellent fresh seafood, much better that most grocery stores. H Mart would be another good choice for fresh seafood.
