WARNING Do not purchase gas at this station! Located at : 302 Main Street W Mt. Vernon TX! I purchased gas this morning on my way to work at this gas station on pump # 2! A few miles after leaving the gas station and heading towards Mt. Pleasant my car starting bogging down and losing power, then my engine light came on. I immediately called Elliot Motors to let them know what was going on and drove straight to them. When they ran the computer system on my car all the fuel sensors had alerts. When they drained my gas tank the fuel I had purchased was 75% WATER! (I have included a photo the dealership sent me) You can clearly see the bottom half is all water and the darker line that starts toward the top is gas. I contacted the owner to inform him of this situation. I then found out he has received MULTIPLE complaints from other customers that has the same issue and had to have the fuel tanks drained in the past month and has done nothing to fix it or shut down the pumps. He was less than helpful in trying to make the situation right. It cost me $700 to fix my car, and I would hate to see this happen to someone else!

I like this store because it's the only convenience store in town that's locally owned and not located near a busy interstate highway for COVID concerns. The beverage selection is amazing. No other store keeps the only energy drinks I like in stock or Mexican imported glass bottle Coca-Cola, and they will keep any item you request in stock. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the owner is one of the kindest people I've met. 5 stars isn't enough.

I stopped by the store this morning to purchase a pack of cigarettes. I left my wallet at home with my cash but had tons of change in my car so I just counted out how much I needed to make the purchase. The lady that was there was so rude and tried to belittle me because I paid with change. This was the worst customer service I've ever had to encounter! I usually stop by in the evenings and the gentleman that's there is so nice when I walk in he is singing and just a all around nice guy! The lady gave me looks and attitude the whole time not even reaching out to take my change i was trying to give her. She needs to be retrained on her customer service. I will be back to talk with her manager since I cannot find a phone number for this store
