My family had so much fun at this beautiful scenic place. Husband loved fishing on our private dock. Kids loved bike riding around. I loved exploring on the gator. This place has something for everyone. This will be our annual getaway vacation from now on.

Randomly came across this place a few years back. Now I try to get out every year. It's amazing. Peaceful, beautiful, so much fun. When I say family vacation everyone votes deer lake. 10/10

The staff was very friendly, but my husband and I weren't impressed with the accommodations for the price we paid. The website and pictures make the lake look large but it's something that doesn't take you very long to kayak around and the small "lake," although pretty, was just a pond. The roads to the cabin are very rough and have quite a few large dips and holes, so if you have a low car, expect to scrape bottom and go very, very slowly. We stayed at the Cowboy Corner, which says it has a dishwasher, but I guess we were blind or it was in a cabinet because we didn't see it and ended up handwashing and putting our dishes away to avoid a fee. Not that we didn't expect insects and such, but it also would have been nice if the staff had come in the morning before we checked in and gotten rid of the 20 or so spiders hanging out in our bathroom. We didn't get to enjoy the horseback riding since the rides were only offered in the mornings and not on Sunday, something that's not stated on the website. The "Escape the woods" was fun, even in the heat. We did enjoy our stay, because it was nice to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet, but won't be staying again.

This place is perfect for everyone. The property is amazing, clean and plenty of activities to scratch everyone's itch. The staff were wonderful and Blue, the family farm dog, was one of the best part of the vacation. Lol. We will definitely be back!!!

As far as I know, you can nor bring your own UTV, due to liability issues. But they have some you can rent. They have trails all over the ranch for UTV and Horseback riding trails. Great trails I have been on all of them.
Cell service is spotty and internet is available near the main office. Verizon does real good up there. Everybody else is pretty spotty!
This is a private lake. They have 2 private lakes, there is Deer Lake and Dream Lake. They are approximately 2 miles from Lake Cypress Springs.
