The bolt on the door wouldn't lock. The guy at the front desk kept ensuring me everything was alright when I asked to switch rooms. He said because of crime the owner took out the top bolts on the lock. I had to put a chair in front of the door. I didn't sleep good at all. The guy was very nice though.

Cozy and peaceful. Classic rooms but for $40 I wasn't complaining. Perfect for my family of 3. Stayed a month due to our house being remodeled. Owners are understanding. They let me keep my chihuahua in the room because we had no other place to keep him.

Went in to the parking lot thinking we could check in for a night. We didn't even end up walking inside because the only employee who seemed to be there decided to stare us down in the parking lot, like we were creating some problem by trying to check in. When I asked why he was staring he asked if I "have a problem." Yeah my problem is you're making me think the motel staff is going to kill me while I sleep, lol. We were just trying to park and check in for a night, and he would not stop staring at me even after I asked him to stop staring at us. Our car is clearly loaded down with bags making it obvious we were on a long road trip just looking for a place to sleep. Guess they don't want customers very badly... explains why their cheap motel looked completely worn down and abandoned. It's kind of the job of the hotel industry to be hospitable, and he can't even manage to be welcoming before we leave the parking lot.

It's not for everybody. If you are the young, backpacking, hostel-loving globe-trekker, this is a very interesting place. Tiniest double room I've ever seen in my life, but it was very solid and quiet in the face of the severe storm that came in. The other guests next door were very nice people. The sink was broken, but I was able to repair it with tools I had in my car. Owner was appreciative of the gesture. If you are seeking luxury, go find your mega-franchise box. If you want modest coziness, you can't really beat this place. I'd do it again in a second the next time around.
