Negative: I wish the hot tub chemicals were better taken care of. By Saturday the pot tub was kind of icky since all of the people were using it and it wasn¿t being checked daily by staff. Also a better selection for breakfast would be appreciated.

I had to wipe down the bathroom before I felt comfortable using it. There was stuff crusted on to the sheets that we were able to scratch off. And random hair in the sheets. To top it off the staff was kind of rude.

It was a decent stay for one night. Kind of pricey for the smaller room (110$) and could definitely tell that smoking was allowed at one point in time. The pool/hot tub area was very nice, but the pool was way too cold. Went there specifically for our 1 year old to swim so that was a little disappointing. The breakfast was surprisingly good. A staff member served biscuits and gravy and also scrambled eggs and sausage. There were cold options avaliable as well. The room was clean...just had to get past the old smoke smell and the window only opened a crack to let fresh air in.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality for the price of this Days Inn near the Mall in Duluth. First, I 'met' Barb via phone for my reservation. She was charming and helpful. Once there, she assisted me with finding plates and napkins for the pizza I ordered. Second, the hotel was IMMACULATE during "The Time That Is Covid". I literally saw an employee wiping down each vertical rail on a stairway with disinfectant. The rooms were EXCEPTIONALLY clean. Bathtub, sink, carpet, remote for the TV, everything. They had a fridge and microwave, plus privacy blinds and black-out blinds. The pool and hot tub were working and clean. There is a fitness room that looked well maintained. I used to travel full-time years ago, and I was VERY impressed by the service, the room, and the staff. Definitely a 5-star from this weary traveler, both for the price and amenities this location offered.
