Positive: Room arrangement was OK. Beds and linens looked clean. Breakfast was good on Sunday, less choice during the wee Housekeeping lady was friendly and nice, offered more towels or anything else we needed. Negative: Hotel was very dirty, carpeting in public areas was worn, torn, and filthy. Holes in the walls at side entrance. Bags of garbage stacked inside the entrance. General look of hotel was rundown and crumbling.

Horrible experience from beginning to end. The owner of the hotel checked us in and had a terrible attitude. Told us about all the negatives of the hotel instead of the positives. Then the toilets keep backing up, then there was old food from the previous guest still in the mini fridge. Took a shower this morning in 2 1/2 feet of water as the tubs do not drain well. Cleaning and guest services is NOT their top priority. We did get a discount on our room but also got serious attitude from the front desk clerk. Very disappointing and false advertising for lake view. You see a tiny tree hidden view of beautiful Lake Superior. Pay the extra and literally stay anywhere else.

Clean but in need of some serious cosmetic treatment. Shower didn't drain well but nice location. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Room was spacious. Furniture and fixtures showing significant wear. Drains were slow. Common areas somewhat dated. Room was clean. The most modest free breakfast I've encountered. Staff were friendly and helpful. Even got escorted to my room. Great location. Overall, a solid basic hotel for a fair price. I'd stay again.
