I need to build 3 pallets and shipping crates . They will have to withstand 3000 lbs each.is 4x4 oak going to be adequate?

Yes sir. Lukens quality hardwood would have or can cut and produce anything you could want. Dave lukens is the owner and he is an awesome guy and very down to earth it is definitely a place to check out.

Do you buy grade logs I have some black walnut and regular walnut

I think they do. You can go up there and talk with them or call them and they’ll be able to tell you pretty quick.
