The apartment itself was great, neighbors were fine. The real issue is the arrangement between the landlord and the towing company. If your car becomes "disabled" it will get towed. As we learned, the term disabled can be applied to a car with expired tags or a flat tire. My husband didn't get his tags renewed before his birthday and his car was towed for having expired tags just three days after they expired, then it was towed because his tire went flat overnight. We argued with the landlord that it was unreasonable to have cars towed for flat tires when the owners aren't aware they have a flat. It cost my husband a day of work, and we were out quite a bit of money to get it out of the impound, which was a real pain to find.
