It’s an ok museum. Went for an event where it was rented out. Was not terribly impressed with the rental experience. The catering was really quite good though.

We tried to visit here back in May on a different Cincinnati trip, but the museum was under renovation at the time. So glad that we kept this place in mine and were able to visit in September. Top notch art museum with plenty of interesting items to stimulate interest. Also enjoyed learning about the history of the building itself and how it evolved over many many years. An absolute treasure for the city of Cincinnati and the state of Ohio.

Went for the jane Austin exhibit. It was amazing. Collection was distributed among the upper floors, it was a beautiful experience.

"Taft Museum of Art is accessible to everyone, including those with special abilities or physical injuries. The entire Museum is accessible to visitors who use standard sized wheelchairs or walkers. Due to the architectural limitations of this landmarked building, we are forced to use a reduced size wheelchair lift to provide access to the permanent collection located in the historic house. Therefore, some larger and/or more modern wheelchairs may not fit in our wheelchair lift in the historic house. The entrance width of the wheelchair lift in the historic house is 32 inches and the car is 64 inches high. The platform is 29 inches wide and the depth is 48 inches."
An industrialist by the name of Martin Baum was the original owner. Then famous Cincinnatian Nicholas Longworth purchased the home.
Yes it had a decent amount of European art.
