Kids are allowed, and the cafe area has hot chocolate, pastries, and chips for kids to enjoy. I see many families there on the couches, and the owners, Carus and Rick, are super friendly and have actually remarked they're pleasantly surprised to see so many families. They also have a toy kids can ride, and old fashioned soda pop selections.

We welcome people of all abilities to come to Second Sight and enjoy our tours and Kentucky Bourbon! Our distillery has ramped curb access for our friends coming into the distillery from street parking on to the sidewalk. There are no steps to the entryway into the space from the sidewalk. Once in the distillery, the entire space is accessible on one floor with ADA compliant restrooms to better enjoy tours and drinks from in our lounge area for our visiting friends!

Great question! We actually made the still ourselves. We used a variety of parts from many adventures to put together our one of a kind still. We describe how we found each part of the still and some of the amazing people that helped us in creating it on our tours. On the tour, you’ll not only hear how we constructed the still but also try the Kentucky bourbon, rums, and moonshines that we craft with our creation. We currently close at 6pm on the weekends to allow us to transform the lounge and distillery into an event space for private rentals. Our past rentals have included weddings, rehearsal dinners, bridal and baby showers, birthday parties, retirement parties, and graduation parties. Second Sight Spirits opened in April of 2014 and started by crafting a variety of rums. By 2016, Second Sight had released their Oak Eye Kentucky Bourbon and became part of the Kentucky Bourbon Craft Tour and the B-Line, Northern Kentucky Bourbon Trail the following year. In 2018, Second Sight completed the move into the space next to them creating their lounge area. The team is excited for the future as they continue to grow!

We have a gift shop and tasting room at the distillery! You can pick up bottles of our Oak Eye Kentucky Bourbon, fine rums, or moonshines there. We also carry shirts, hats, and glasses with the Second Sight Spirits logo on them. If you are in search of a gift, we have gift cards available too!

You can schedule your tour through our website, by coming to the distillery, or giving us a call. Distillery tours can book up quickly because so you may want to schedule your tour a few weeks ahead. Yes! We have gift cards available in our gift shop for you to purchase. These cards can be redeemed for merchandise, coffee, cocktails, and of course, our Oak Eye Kentucky Bourbon! Our gift cards make a great gift for those that are seeking something local and unique.

We currently carry snacks and receive fresh pastries on Saturday mornings. We also allow food from outside vendors into our distillery for you to enjoy while drinking one of our craft cocktails. Our town of Ludlow, Kentucky has several food options from our friends’ small businesses in which you can walk to get and bring back to enjoy in our lounge. Yes! Second Sight Spirits is owned by 2 childhood friends that started and crafted their distillery and spirits with the help of their friends and family. Be sure to take a tour to hear their story and see how they created the distillery from the ground up!

No, due to current laws we are unable to ship to other states. You can order bottles through our website for pick up at the distillery or stop in to our tasting room and you can pick up our Oak Eye Kentucky Bourbon or any of our fine rums, moonshines, and liqueurs.

We do have a variety of locally made snacks that rotate based on the season and availability. You are welcome to bring in your own snacks in to the distillery to eat while enjoying craft cocktails in our lounge or grabbing a coffee with a friend.

This is the best question from an experienced traveler! Our City of Ludow, Ky, where the distillery is located has free street parking not only on the main road on which we are located (Elm Street) but along the side streets too. The distillery does have a few spaces behind our building that are accessible to the public. Guests that need a little assistance are welcome to be dropped off curb side in front or on the corner next to the distillery to allow them easier access into the building. Yes! The best way to get on spot on our tour is to book one through our website. The page on our site will help guide to you to available times and days for your party to take our craft distilling tour and learn about the process of making bourbon and spirits. You will be rewarded with a tasting of several of our spirits at the end! We have an additional option to prepurchase a cocktail or bottle to go along with your tour which makes a great gift for friends and family!

Our tours last approximately 90 mins and include a tasting of our Kentucky Bourbon, rums, and moonshines at the end. We do suggest showing up a little earlier to grab a craft cocktail to enjoy on the tour.

Of course, we offer our Kentucky Oak Eye Bourbon, several rums and moonshines, and even a hazelnut liqueur in the tasting room of our distillery. If you would like to grab and drink or coffee first, you can also purchase bottles at our bar. If you are not able to make it to the distillery, you can find our spirits at several different bars and retailers throughout Kentucky and the Greater Cincinnati area.

We are a family friendly distillery! We have a full coffee shop to go along with our cocktail lounge and make excellent mocktails as well as one of the best hot chocolates around. Kids are always welcome on our tours with an adult.

We open the distillery at 9am, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We’ll be ready for your visit with fresh coffee, plenty of bottles of Oak Eye Kentucky Bourbon to sell, and even a craft cocktail to really start the day off right!

Unfortunately, we are not. It bums us out too as our whole staff loves our pets! Because we served locally made snacks which is considered food service, we are not allowed to have our furry friends inside the distillery. We do have a Second Sight secret for you, if you are on a walk and can leave your friend outside for a second, we are happy to bring out a freshly made coffee drink to you. Our city of Ludlow, Kentucky also has a DORA program allowing visitors to our distillery and lounge to use designated cups to carry our craft cocktails outside of the distillery as you explore our thriving metropolis.

We can’t wait to welcome your son to his new home! We do sell physical gift cards in the tasting room in $10, $15, and $25 dollar amounts or also offer digital gift cards through our website. The cards are redeemable in the distillery for tours, tastings, merchandise, and cocktails or coffee. You can also give them a gift by going to our website and book a tour for them. We can’t wait to show them our distillery and make them feel at home!

Our gift shop and tasting room are always open by 9am, Friday through Sunday, and we close at 6pm to prepare for private events and rentals in the distillery and lounge. Our Thriving Metropolis of Ludlow, Kentucky loves visitors! If you are adventuring on the Kentucky Bourbon Craft Tour or visiting our distillery or lounge for an event, you can find plenty of street parking provided by our thriving metropolis for the distillery. The street adjacent to the distillery (Davies) has a long no parking zone for our guests that need a little extra help with getting out a vehicle or for caterers dropping of food of an event in our lounge. There are a few spaces behind the building as well and if they are open, then feel free to park there too. We can’t wait to see you in the future!
