Things are VERY different at the ole' Hinsdale Apartment Homes. Management is RUDE to tenants. Not willing to assist when you have a broken AC unit. They feel it is best to keep giving you a JUNK AC unit regardless of the FACT that you are overpaying to live in the 60521 area code. Things have really changed for the WORSE. I will be strongly re-thinking my options when my lease expires. Maintenance Runs the show and influences the two new Office managers/personnel. I have work orders from last year that have not been completed. Told management and they are working on it. Of course... I will need to wait until Management shifts and New personnel are hired before I get anything done. It is a shame!

I had high hopes when I came across these apartments given the application fee was $225 but the disappointments started as soon as I arrived for a tour and stepped out of my car. I was greeted with an empty salad box in the parking lot in front of the leasing office. I looked at the Jarvis and Broadway units. Overall they seemed alright but the kitchens had a crusty coil-style stove instead of the all-glass style stove they have in the photos of their website. The fridges had the most annoying compressor noise I’ve ever heard from a fridge and the fridge doors felt super cheap and light. Both units were also mostly carpeted instead of having the hardwood floors shown in the photos. The photos on their website by the way are just pictures of the leasing office which is equipped much nicer than the actual apartments I looked at. The apartments were also not prepared to have the AC tested even though they knew I was coming for a tour many days in advance. The tour was rushed and I felt pressured to come back to the leasing office. Here’s the worst part. I told them I was interested in a garage about a week before the tour. I applied for the apartment I was interested in to hold the spot and also selected a garage as part of the application. When I got there for the tour, both the leasing and property manager danced around the subject of garage availability and eventually told me there’s in fact a waiting list. How can you list 2 garages as available on your website and have a waiting list for garages from current residents? They wouldn’t give me a firm answer about the garages on the spot and emailed me a few hours later to tell me there were no garages available. Completely disrespectful of my time. The only thing this apartment complex has going for it is the landscaping and the location.
