Our experience with STAF has been excellent. From the beginning of the adoption process, they made us feel welcomed and encouraged us to take our time when meeting their cats. It took us a couple of visits, but we adopted the loveliest kitty of all. We could tell that STAF cares deeply about their cats and dogs. They told us right off the bat that many of the cats and dogs are going to be in their lifelong care, which really shows how much they are invested in the life of these animals. Our kitty has been a joy to have. She's the perfect furry companion. They provided medical records and caretaking tips when we adopted her, and we felt like we knew what we needed to be great cat parents. Thank you, STAF!

I could not be more pleased with this shelter! The workers (all volunteers!) clearly love these animals and are very helpful throughout every step of the adoption process and beyond. They even make a point to specify that the animal you adopt from them will always have a home at STAF if for some reason it doesn’t work out. Thankfully, things have been working out wonderfully with my Zira, who I adopted from them last year. I would absolutely recommend checking them out for your next furry friend :)

STAF is the best. We have adopted 2 great cats from them and I highly recommend setting up an appointment and adopting a new family member.

Our family is very thankful to all the volunteers who keep the Save the Animals Foundation open, you are all SO WONDERFUL! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there adoption process had to be adjusted and it was incredibly seamless. After submitting an adoption application we were scheduled for a pre-screening phone conversation with an Adoption Coordinator, we spoke with Julie who was so lovely and kind. We then were scheduled for a visit to the shelter to met and play with all the kittens and cats! So fun! Upon arriving at the shelter, we were greeted with a warm and welcoming [masked] smile by Adoption Coordinator Amy. We immediately fell in love with Jemma and scheduled a pickup the following week to give her time to see their in-house veterinarian. Adoption day! Jemma is about 20 weeks old and is a Russian Blue breed. We were sent home with a gallon of cat food, gallon of litter, toys, and a plastic carrier to safely transport Jemma home. Perks of adopting a slightly older cat? She was already litter boxed trained and immediately used the scratch boxes. #winning We are absolutely blown away with the shelters service, everyone was lovely and supportive through the seamless process of adopting our kitten. We couldn't have imagined it any better, all the volunteers are very passionate about what they do and it's truly received by those who visit the shelter. Thank you!

Looking to get a kitten for my son's birthday. Do you still have the four kittens in need of a home.
The adoption process for cats and dogs generally takes a week or two. Please note that we do not do same-day adoptions.
Sorry, we're not accepting volunteers under the age of 18 at this time.
Thank you so much for reaching out regarding these babies! While STAF can't perform spays/neuters as we are a shelter and not a veterinary facility, Ohio Alleycat Resource (http://www.ohioalleycat.org) offers low cost spays/neuters and is also in the same eastside neighborhood as STAF.
Yu still got the bully
STAF is not currently open to the public due to COVID-19. All adoptions are being done by appointment on. For details on STAF's dog adoption process, please visit this page on our website: https://www.staf.org/index.php/meet-our-dogs/ Thank you for your interest!

STAF is a no-kill shelter for dogs and cats. If they don't find a forever home, they have one here.
Yes, we are an entirely volunteer run organization and always looking for help with the daily care of the animals. Please visit our website for details.
Unfortunately, the annual Spaghetti Dinner has been cancelled indefinitely. Though we hope to revive the tradition some day!
Unfortunately, we do not provide services like this as we are an animal shelter and not a veterinary facility. Ohio Alleycat Rescue (http://www.ohioalleycat.org), located in the same neighborhood as us, does provide free services to the public and may be able to help you.
STAF is a no-kill shelter and our primary goal is to rehome every dog and cat that comes to us. However, some of the dogs and cats that come to us end up staying with us over the long term and our team is dedicated to ensuring that they're all well fed, have access to veterinary care, are loved and, above all, are safe.
At the moment, no, we don't have any kittens or cats by that name. Though we do currently have dozens of kittens of all types available for adoption!
Hi Jake, do you have an email you could provide here? The dog intake person would like to contact you.
I'm so sorry, Save the Animals Foundation is a shelter for cats and dogs and we don't do wildlife rescue. You might try 2-B-WILD AGAIN at 513-253-3339 or search Google for "wildlife rescue cincinnati".
Try a can of wet cat food. Or use a lot of catnip spray on some fabric. I pray she's ok.
Staf has volunteers that foster dogs and cats in their homes that belong to STAF. They don't foster for families that have dogs and cats.
All volunteers are required to be 18 years of age.
You don't apply on the website. You contact them using the contact info and they will let you know when volunteer orientation night is. You show up and do the paperwork then
The dog adoption fee is currently $225.
Under normal circumstances, yes. However, due to the pandemic we will be accepting only new, unopened products for the foreseeable future.
Save the Animals Foundation is not affiliated with the SPCA.
Try OAR
Hi Tawnia! Please email me at jeff ~AT~ staf ~DOT~ org and I can provide the contact info for our volunteers who handle cat intake at STAF. Thank you!
They are an animal sanctuary that take special needs animals. Please contact them directly about the kitten.
Go to staf.org for their policy and process on adoptions.
I would be honored to take him in and love him ...
All volunteers are required to commit to one AM or PM shift a week which involves caring for the animals and cleaning the facility. However, there are plenty of opportunities for volunteers to spend quality time with the cats and dogs too!
Please go to the website or Facebook page and look at adoptable pets.
I think it is 18 year for dogs. It might be lower for cats. I know they would love ur help, so leave a message on their answering machine and ask.
STAF is a volunteer only organization, with no paid employees
Please contact the shelter directly
Yes, the adoption fee for cats is $40 and the adoption fee for dogs is $225.
There was a small fee to adopt cats - $40, but all of their shots, etc. was done. I think dogs were about $160, but I don't remember if puppies were different.
You will have to contact the shelter directly and ask them if they can help
There is no cost associated with surrendering cats or dogs to STAF.
The don't take turtle's, only dogs and cats. Try looking for an exotic animal rescue
STAF isn't a medical office. You might be thinking about Medvet the animal hospital across the street from STAF behind El Jinete. ( At the traffic light for WalMart. )
