I'm sorry I don't know that. But if you Google Exley's, their website will come up and it'll say everything about that on there. My daughter is going there to buy her tree this weekend. When is the best season to plant hydrangeas?

The best times are spring and fall, but I would recommend early fall as the best time, because hydrangeas like to stay wet, and planting in the fall allows them to get established without the heat stress of the summer.
