I called here and asked for a Corporate number due to having a horrible experience elsewhere. Tony sat the phone down, and was talking to his manager Asa, and I heard the entirety of the conversation with Asa telling Tony to just give me a BS number to appease me, and not the corporate number. When I said I heard everything, Tony handed Asa the phone, and Asa then gave me a number that was not even affiliated with Hertz!!!!! Horrible business, terrible manager.

I have always rented Hertz and make reservations prior to any trips. The Hertz location at the Syracuse airport was quick to assist with me and my fiancee with even upgrading our reservation and got us a car that we both thoroughly enjoyed. The return was easy with express returns, dropping off the key and receiving a receipt in email shortly after.

Did not have vehicle reserved. Check in slow. Car was not clean. Did not get discount. Return was unprofessional.

Do not rent from them if returning car outside business hours. I've used Hertz Syracuse 3 times twice they've charged me for returning the vehicle late when it was returned on time.

There is a key drop box in the parking garage plus at the front counter you can use
Make sure to put your flight information into your booking so someone can stay for you. If there's no flight information, then there's no way of knowing that you're actually going to come. They typically wait 30 minutes after your flight lands to give you more time.

You can't, have to wait until the next day. I just had that exact instance a few days ago.
The person who has booked has to be present to get the car as they will ask for your driver's license.

Hi. When you drive into the airport. You'll see an entrance that says "Car drop off" which is on the left. Follow the prompts. You'll be just fine!
Have rented into Canada a couple of times. Have never had any problems. Just make sure that you have the rental contract handy when crossing the border both ways.
I also arrived after midnight. The Hertz desk was closed but the rental car desk next to it was open and had our reservation. The two companies take turns covering each other
In the second entrance into the parking garage towards the front of the airport there will be many signs. You can drop the car in the hertz drop off lot on the left. the second aisle. Either drop the keys at the drop off or inside.

Typically, they do not swap out snow tires on the cars here in Syracuse. They are all-season radial tires year round. However, we are going to have a bit of a heat wave here during your visit, with temperatures running somewhere between 30 and 40+ degrees and the roads should be fairly clear. However, if you are worried about it I would just rent an all wheel drive SUV like a CR-V, Rav4 or CX-5. That should give you what you need.
