Picturesque and serene, if you are a sun powered mermaid, this would be a charging station

Spacious sites .Staff friendly and accomadating! Laundery room was very nice, clean with great washers and dryers. Loved having the coin changer available. Could use a small table or counter in there to fold clothes. Also a bench or a couple of chairs for people to sit would be nice. Not everyone likes to leave their clothes unattended.

A couple decent trails. Even a handicap accessible one! Very beautiful scenery along the hike
You can pretty much do whatever you want outside the lifeguarded swimming area but it's "at your own risk"
There was no beach a month ago with people vying for the best 3' long beaches (distance from the water to the shore). How they can charge for this, I've no idea. I've not been back since.
Yes , there are 2 filling/dumping stations
My son got married on the beach of Selkirk Shores. Was so pretty. The picnic area had an A frame with s beautiful stone fire place. We figure if it rained we could start a fire, would be really pretty. We hung white lights all around. The people were very accomadating
I paid $8 for a day pass to enter southwick which is much bigger and lavish compared to westcott so I assume it's the same price. When I visited westcott, since I was just checking it out I was able to sign in as a visitor and enter for free.
Yes dogs are allowed with rabies certification and leashes. Not really sure on cost of site's, but was $8 for day use .
Never have had any problems with cell service there.
Yes. And the water is perfectly refreshing! If you are planning on a weekend day make sure you are there by 930 ish. The beach has been full to capacity on the weekends about 1030 am
Yes but you won't catch anything off the shoreline. There's Lakeview pond nearby for small boats or a boat launch just 5 minutes north. No boat launch at Southwick.
.....it's a beach.... Wtf
Usually not while life guards are there.
It is open need to be 10 feet apart from other people on beach
Yes
Not at the life guard beach but if you go down past the campsites your dog can swim.
Campers beach is basically gone and cutting into the dunes.
Yes it is open they changed the way the day proples beach is to make more room. But I'm not sure how bad the campers side is
Yes you can drive and walk to beach. If it is closed during winter I dont know..
With a military Id you can stay in any NY state park for free!
No. Opens the Friday 2 weeks prior to Memorial Day (May) & closes Columbus Day (October).
There is a lifeguarded area for kids to swim. I did see some kids with floats when we went, but I am not sure of the actual rules.
As long as they are leshed on the beach. Yes they can be in water unlrshed but they must have there shots and thye must be dog friendly.
That all depends. If you're asking what time the lifeguards are going to be there for swimming or if you're going without them. People camp up there so pretty much as early as you want
Pets are allowed in the camping area and camping beach and down through. PETS NOT ALLOWED in the picnic and day use area including the public beach area. Dogs must be leashed at all times. You'll need proof of current rabies vaccination. Please be courteous and pick up after your dog as well.
Very busy today. But there's always a breeze
There is a little snack shop but I recommend bringing some food of your own also, especially if you have little kids!
Nice and sandy if the water level is low. Last year the water was high and it didn't leave much beach and sand.
No dogs on the beach or in the picnic areas but you can bring them to the park or camping just have to have all their paperwork with you and they have to be on a leash no longer than 6 ft I believe
The beach sites are booked already for the weekends, so we can’t camp there. Thank you for your input!
The park opens in early-May and operates through Columbus Day weekend. 2018 Swimming Season: 6/23 - 9/3 2018 Camping/Cabin Season: 5/11 - 10/7
You want to visit reserve america's website;. it is linked to the park's web page. They handle all reservations and have a calendar showing availability.
You can check the reserve America website as they handle all booking and pricing. The price will very for weekday/weekend or hoilday weekend and so on so it's best just to look.
