Yes. And the water is perfectly refreshing! If you are planning on a weekend day make sure you are there by 930 ish. The beach has been full to capacity on the weekends about 1030 am
Yes, the water is relatively shallow as the tide is higher on the beach now a days, but far enough out you can swim just fine
Yes there is a public beach at the state park and if you walk south down the beach a mile or so you'll find the game preserve where its pretty much clothing optional most go nude down there :)
Yup. There is an area that the life guards pay more attention to, and an area no so monitored.
