It was a beautiful place. Great place for hiking. Just make sure yo bring six dollars for parking. You can also make reservations for camping. They have picnic areas and restrooms. It seems to be dog-friendly as well

Great camping spot but long drive up the mountain.

Yes, although the Hollister Hills recreation area, about 7 miles east of The Alameda turn for Fremont Peak is where bike riders go
No, not aware
Yes for Verizon. Can't speak to other carriers
Yes
There's no signal up san juan canyon road when you pass the Y split for mission vineyard, but once you're at the top, you can get some signal sporadically. The campsites are tucked back into the mountain so it's hit and miss, but if you walk out to the road where it overlooks the valley you'll get some good signal as you get line of sight to the towers in the town below.
Not sure. Please check the camp's website.
About 15 minutes I would say if you start from the parking lot at the top next to the trailhead. Take a picture of the map, as there is little signage.
Nope
The signs say no dogs on the trails, but I did see one couple took them anyhow. We chose not to. I would hope if people do they would be sure to pick up after their dogs!! When we were there the grasses were waist high at the least. We were very concerned about ticks. I'm not sure where you can find actual paper maps of the trails. There are some boards at the entrance.
