It's been years since I stayed in a motel, however, this wasn't bad at all. It was very clean. There were no weird smells, the front desk associates were great too. Very friendly! It's located in a great area as well. Plenty of food options. I'd actually book here again for a short stay. The other places in VA Beach are sky high.

Whew! Where do I begin? The first room I had was a total disaster. No shower curtain, the commode was not even locked down to the floor. The heat was running and the air conditioner at the same time. It was stuffy. Fortunately, the staff allowed me to move the next night to a nice room, on an upper floor. I have to hand it to the folks who work here, with less than standard facilities, their attitude and dedication to serving Red Roof's customers is unparalleled. I'll give the facility at 2,, but the staff gets a high 5!

We have been staying here for about a week and every day the staff come through and clean the rooms about 10:30 am. I believer out of 4 I seen only 2 of them were coherent enough to actually talk to me. One girl couldn’t hold her head up. They didn’t clean my room the whole week I was there so when I checked out and was getting another room the owner or GM came and told us we couldn’t stay there because there were noodles in the sink that didn’t drain when we got there and that we trashed a room. When I offered to clean it if she would give me trash bags and such she then turned her nose up at me and walked away. Fix your freakin sink. And get better house keepers. Will not be staying here again. If I could get my money back for tonight I would.

Positive: THE ENTIRE STAFF at this RR is incredibly nice! Location was great to both VB and Norfolk. Negative: The room could use an upgrade and their were parts that made it very clear it was not frequently clean. Like the amount of dust on the night-stand or the stained light fixture near the sink. The "book lamps" were filthy!
