I am grateful for the medical treatment I got there. I got mixed experiences. I just hope some doctors and nurses could understand that even when a patient is not dying, it does not mean that they are not in pain, they are not clueless, they are not scared, they do not want to be listened, or they do not need guidance, assurance, and clarity (good or bad news) from the medical professionals. In the relationship between patients and doctors, patients are the minority. They do not have the medical training to determine what the cause is, what tests or treatments to be conducted, or even what is the right question to ask. They look up to their doctors for help, literally help. Some of the patients came to ER because of recommendations from their family doctors and urgent care. Though it might seem that they are wasting the precious time of extremely busy doctors, they are innocent and vulnerable. I understand what I am asking might be a luxury in the context of Emergency Room, where doctors and nurses are fighting for lives. I also understand that everyone has bad days. The doctor and nurse might just had a long and tough shift, or just lost a patient they cared. But something is wrong if the practice of medicine does not include compassion and caring. I hope the hospital that I support and care could be better.

RUN! Run!!! Run!!! Worst care ever!!! Three misdiagnosed surgeries needed and they said nothing was wrong.

Do not go here if you need fast help. The only time I would recommend going here is if you break your leg walking in front of it; otherwise, you will get faster service and assistance crawling to another ER. 4 hours, excruciating pain, and only helped 1 time. Rang for assistance and asked for help 3 times, only to be guilt tripped and told that they were to busy to help me, as im in tears asking for assistance and anything to help the pain I was in. I heard nurses and doctors just having casual conversations while people were in need of help. I have never had a worse Healthcare experience in my entire 22 years of life. I will never go here again if I can help it. I have never felt more absolutely ignored. You shouldn't either.

Sadly, I have been here a number of times, and not once have I been taken seriously or heard. Once, I was unable to walk as a seizure was starting, so they put me in a wheelchair in the lobby as I convulsed. When other people waiting showed concern, they told the lobby I was faking it. (I don't personally recall this, as it was recounted to me by the person who brought me). Another time, again for seizure issues, I was brought in, put into a room, given the setup for an IV, and left in the room for 4 hours, no IV, no one checked in with me until I was told I had no issues and was being discharged. I've had numerous other horrible ER experiences at this hospital, but also an extremely traumatic pre-procedure experience. I went in for a basic colonoscopy. The nurse attending me was new, and being supervised by another nurse. This man could not correctly get an IV port into my arm, and gouged and gouged me, hitting nerves in both arms I never knew I had, and dismissed the senior nurse's pleas to use the top of my hand instead. The training nurse actually said "that's too easy" and continued to jab and gouge me. I was shaking and in tears, just for an IV port! Finally, the senior nurse stepped in, far too late, and used the "easy" way on top on my hand. The procedure went fine, but I had bruising and nerve pain from my wrists to elbows on both arms. My experiences over the past several years have been so horrifically traumatic for me here that when I was involved in a traffic collision and the police insisted on taking me to Foothills, I am on police record freaking out, breaking down and begging them to take me to SCL instead. "Ms. Doby calmed down considerably when I told her I was taking her to Good Sam instead". Stay away from this place. If you value your health, your loved ones health, your friend's health, stay away. Please, stay away.

It truly varies. For lab work, it's usually 5-15 minutes. For ER admission I've been multiple times and it varies from 20 minutes to 2 or 3 hours. Avoid Friday afternoons if your medical need isn't a true emergency.
Call Scheduling. They can look at all available appts and help out.
We just had one done here, and Bryant was amazing! We won't go anywhere else from now on.
Yes, there is a speech therapist on staff at that hospital.
