The nurses were friendly and did their job. However, management and especially the surgeons are a bunch of crooks. If you are advised to go to St. Anthony’s, I strongly recommend looking into other hospitals. They do not care about your personal concerns and will keep you there as long as they can furthering medical studies that are unnecessary. I truly believe Dr. Rita Baumgartner and Dr. Richard Caldwell need an ethics course refresher. PLEASE LOOK AT MOST RECENT REVIEWS BEFORE BEING ADMITTED TO THIS HOSPITAL!

ER was busy, don't die while waiting for treatment! My partner was initially diagnosed as going through opioid withdrawal. My partner was eventually diagnosed with a kidney infection and sepsis. They almost caused an overdosed with treatment. I was relegated to procuring water and warm blankets while nurses/doctors treated other patients. Speaks to the opioid epidemic that involves big pharma and doctors always pushing for profits.

Worst ER I've ever been to. My son is critically ill with a mortal disease. We waited 12 hours for them to give him food, water and a urinal. They never gave him his life saving meds! I begged them to and they promised but never showed up. Asked again. Forgotten. He was in terrible pain and no one answered the call button. 59 patients and only 1 doctor,who told us he was quitting that night. If you have a choice, go someplace that cares. St Anthony's didn't.

My brother was here yesterday afternoon nurse not so helpful, he called a nurse help him get out of bed because he couldn't to go pee 10 minutes later she comes in and asked him can I help you? She ask him can you get out of bed? He told her no she told him just let her know if you need help be she didn't crazy she should of helped him. My mom and I walk down to nurse station to add my mom's phone number for emergency number and the nurse rid about it. You would think being in St Anthony's hospital they would be a little nicer not. The Dr. Nice thank God for that but some nurses Not.

My apologies to you that I didn't read your post carefully enough. I thought you were talking about why they send patients home. Why does this hospital send staff home? Again, I will take a guess: It's to save the hospital money somehow. There's just no way for lay people to really know.
Have u had success fighting it or complaining to the hospital? During my stay, at my repeated questioning, an employee came to my room to assure me that the hospital is in-network with my insurance. How did she not know that not all the participating doctors are in network! I have out- of-state BC/BS PPO insurance and the non-participating USAC doctor is billing me for the balance.
Yes they can I.V's are able to take blood out of the body as well as put fluids in. And everyone. Taking a chopper 98% has an i.v. in there arm.

The new VA Hospital at Colfax and I-225 is a good a good place to start. With the new VA rules you could find yourself at UC Hospital nextdoor for specialists. Or perhaps you may get a referral to St. Anthony's I go to the wound care program and it's been an enlightening experience, I found out that I was suffering from veinous insufficiency and have now been referred to another specialist and have had 6 veins corrected. As far as the attorney, I've used Bacchus and Schenker, their great too. Good Luck!

Yes they do! If you go to medical plaza 1, they have at least one notary on staff in the medical records department.
I would assume that they do. It's a level One trauma center. And although I don't have that kind of detailed knowledge of the place I would guess yes. They seem to have everything.
You can call down to the hospital and ask to speak to their billing department. If you're having financial problems they have many different services at you can be set up for to be able to help.
