So I have had two different interactions at this store. 1 by phone and 1 in person. Both were fantastic experiences. Really made me feel comfortable about being new with telescopes. Took time to explain to me answers to my question. I highly recommend Mile High Astronomy!!!!

The gentleman on the phone literally gave me the best long explanation of astrophotography I’ve ever heard. Fantastic customer service. Talked me out of buying something more expensive for something cheaper. 10/10

Wonderful local astronomy shop here in Colorado. I got my husband a gift card to Mile High Astronomy for his Birthday back in March so he could pick out a telescope.I called the store a couple of times and talked to a very knowledgeable and nice gentleman, and I wish I could remember his name to tell him thank you! He was so very helpful and friendly. My husband was so surprised on his Birthday. He checked their site, and during that time, stock was very limited due to the supply chain issues because of covid, but a gently used Orion 10” Dobsonian was available. It was a very snowy day, but we decided to go check out the shop and look at the telescope. The guy I had talked to on the phone wasn’t there, but the two employees that were in that day were equally wonderful and helpful. We ended up buying the telescope and it has been such a fun family activity for us. Last night, we got to see Jupiter and Saturn. Our daughter loves looking at the night sky with Dad. We even brought it on a trip to Vail with us this summer and saw some amazing stars. We love this telescope!! Figured it was time for me to write a review since it’s been 6 months since our purchase. My husband is over the moon. Thank you Mile High Astronomy!

I was not sure exactly what all I needed to hook my camera up to my telescope. They knew what I needed. They had it (I got on their website 1st to get an idea.) They even showed me how the pieces would go on the same telescope as mine. I also saw a few accessories I liked. Thanks!

Hi Ron, At the moment, we aren't offering classes, but you can bring your telescope into the store and we can spend a few minutes with you on basic setup and use. Mid-week afternoons are generally best for this. I can also direct you to the Denver Astronomical Society. They do monthly open house events where you can bring your telescope out and get some hands on assistance under the stars. See the event calendar at denverastro.org.

Take a look at the Denver Astronomical Society. You can take the telescope out to one of their open house events (held once a month), and one of the members can give you a hand with it. http://denverastro.org
