I think Robbin is giving some good feedback here from a customer perspective. Thanks for taking the time to do that! We tell most customers to wait about 24 hours but each individual project can be unique and sometimes we may suggest waiting a little longer. The wait time is designed to allow the special silicone sealers to properly cure. This allows for the best performance and longest lifespan of the seamlock. This seamlock is virtually invisible but must be wiped down along with the walls as part of the regular cleaning every week or so. Should only take a couple of minutes using approved cleaners. Enjoy! Thanks for the question! Sure, you could use a bath mat but most of our customers choose not to. The shower floor has a slip resistant surface and a mat could actually become a trip hazard. A peel and stick hook would be ok to use but we also install more permanent robe hooks, etc if you are interested.
