My mother in law lived here for nearly three years. She liked it and so did my wife and I. My mother in law was a social person. She looked forward to eating in the dining room and other activities with her friends. She had a weekly hair appointment at the salon. The staff know all the residents and visiting family members too.

My mom has been there for 9 months, 8 of which have been in hospice care and bedridden. The American House staff are wonderful. We have been having some issues with the med team responding to her call button as of late. We are being told that the system is not working properly. While its awful to be waiting for more than an hour for someone to clean you up, my sisters and i are fearful that she may need more serious help and waiting over an hour is just not acceptable.

American House has provided a warm, friendly, and caring environment for my mother. She enjoys the entertainment provided weekly, playing Bingo; which my daughter and I enjoy playing with her on Sundays, and the service of Bonnie the hairdresser. All in all, my mother is healthier since she moved here.
