I agree with the previous poster concerning the management change. I am not having the greatest experience with the current property manager. He is pleasant and expresses concern for your issues when talking, he even assures you he will follow through. Then he just doesn't follow through on what's discussed. The non follow through has happened with me enough times for me to take notice of it. I see I am not the only tenant to experience the non follow through. This is not a great business practice. The apartments are updated, the location is great. It's near downtown, the dequindre cut and the river walk. I'm staying for the location and will give management the opportunity to improve.

I lived here for three years. The first two years of my stay were pleasant due to management being kind and attentive. However in the last year, the management has changed and so has the upkeep of the property. The previous manager, Andrew was kind and he did his best to help if he could. The new manager, Steve is not so pleasant. He does not care to hear what you have to say. He also is very conniving and will not follow through with what he discusses with you. For those of you interested in this apartment for the extra amenities promoted, don’t get your hopes up. There was a new security gate installed however it was measured incorrectly and it’s broken most of the time. The pool that is mentioned to be up and coming is not gonna happen. Neither is the gym that is being promoted. I have heard from management personally, that the company has decided to attempt to rent the pool from the neighboring apartment building and that they will not be building anything new. Also if you’re looking for a two bedroom, look elsewhere! There are only 10 two bedrooms in the entire property. And they have not become available in all of the time that I was living there. Also, if you happen to secure an apartment there, cross your fingers that you don’t live towards the rear of the parking lot. Multiple cars have been broken into in that area. As I was moving, I also noticed there is now a rodent issue in the parking lot. I witnessed rodents on multiple occasions running under my vehicles. It even chewed through one of my car’s hoses causing an expensive repair bill. Worst of all, once I vacated the premises I did not get my security deposit back. If you are someone who’s thinking about moving from these apartments don’t even get your hopes up that you’re going to get anything back. You will receive an itemized list of trumped up charges. I hate to say this, but the apartment has gone to the dogs. Even with the upgrades, your rent will not be stable. The rate has increased 3 to 4 times in the last few years. I started at $850 and by the time I left I was almost at 1200. While that is low for the area, you cannot be confident that the rent will not eventually match the areas prices. It is sad to say that since the management changed, nothing has improved.

I unfortunately have to give a 1 star review. This apartment complex has kind management, but they are very, very irresponsible. I ran into the same problem that someone else mentioned in which I was promised an apartment that would be secured to move into a few months later but lied to later on. My leasing application was approved, and I bought renter’s insurance. I was told that I had secured my unit months in advance of my move-in date but then days before moving in, I HAD TO CALL MULTIPLE TIMES and was told that the apartment was still being occupied. I was then told that I would be contacted later in August when the current tenant would leave. I was never contacted. The leasing manager said my phone number was incorrect in their system, but they never emailed either. It was a bad excuse to exit the situation. Don’t waste your time applying here, you’ll just lose your application fee.

0 stars! Management is a scam!! They told me to apply for an apartment and confirmed availability as listed on their website. I paid the $50 application fee and waited for 2 weeks. When I didn't hear anything regarding background check/credit report/application process, I went in person to which they drove me in circles. "Oh someone else claimed that apartment already", or "that apartment needs to be renovated and won't be ready now but we'll hold it for you". I said OK when will it be ready, they said 2 weeks. Waited again with no response. Now they say "we have 60+ applications in the queue." Like why wouldn't you tell me this important information BEFORE I APPLIED? BECAUSE THEY ARE SCAMMING AND LYING TO PEOPLE TO GET YOU TO APPLY JUST TO STEAL YOUR $50 AND TELL YOU THERES NOTHING AVAILABLE AFTER 2 MONTHS OF WAITING!
