Laurel Falls trail is a relatively easy hike to a decent sized waterfall. The path is well maintained and well travelled with plenty of spots along the way to take a rest if needed. The falls are situated so you can get close for photos or just to enjoy the view. The little bridge leading from the trails to the falls can get packed with folks taking pictures and selfies, but every we saw was courteous and friendly. The downside to this hike is the number of people. Being one of the easier hikes it sees a lot of traffic, as a result parking can be difficult, especially later in the day. Plan to spend about 2-hours hiking and enjoying the falls. Overall a good hike, especially if you aren’t the experienced hiker. Just be sure to get their early.

A very pretty hike that isn't too strenuous or long. I will say it is quite crowded, as it is on one of the main roads people come to. The waterfall is pretty, but its hard to get a good picture with so many people wandering about. I'm not sure the lower falls are intended to be climbed to, but lots of people are doing it. Parking will likely be tight.

This place was so awesome. The hike was fantastic and a great way for someone to dip their toes into hiking. Plenty of places to stop and take a rest. Take in the amazing views and really see the beauty of the Smokey Mountains! once you get to the top, Laurel Falls is beautiful and refreshing. We can’t wait to go back

The waterfall is as awesome as ever! The trail has concrete but it is really broken up on the last 3rd of the trail. You can take a stroller but only if it is a running stroller or big wheeled one.

More hiking no climbing unless you want to climb dow to the lower half of the waterfall. It is 1.3 miles. Takes about 30 to 45min depending on your fitness. Slow walkers may take over 1hr depending on breaks.
"Dogs are only allowed on two short walking paths—the Gatlinburg Trail and the Oconaluftee River Trail. Pets are not allowed on any other park trails." Per park website When we went there were rangers sitting at the bottom of the trail - it's also really crowded so definitely don't try to sneak a pet on this one.
