John is absolutely amazing. First he’s great with kids but most importantly he really walked me and my daughter through this process. This is how they restrung my cello. Take a good look at the D string. And the guy took about 40 minutes to do it. Next time I’ll buy the strings and string my own cello. Rookie mistake on their part.

Yes. You can rent an instrument for yourself as an adult. The rentals work the same for adults as for students and start at $31.99 per month. Please contact our office at 713-526-4005 if you have any questions about starting a rental. Thank you.
We sanitize the shop and surfaces throughout the day as well as continuing to require masks for all customers.

No. Unfortunately, we do not replace case linings.
Bridges have to be fit to the instrument so this is a repair service that we offer. Just bring your instrument into the shop and we would be happy to give you an estimate. Thank you.
We need to see the instrument to assess what sort of repairs are needed. The workshop can provide an estimate for you for the cost of repair and what will be done to repair the instrument. Repair costs vary widely with the type of repair needed and the associated labor and materials.
Yes - violins, violas, cellos, and basses. They sell and rent. If the instrument is for your child, I'd highly recommend renting at first.
Violin string sets start at $21 plus tax and we do not charge to install or tune the strings however they will stretch quite a bit in the first couple of days so they will not stay in tune for very long until they settle. Our rosin starts at $2 and the metal mutes are $15 for violin. Installation of strings usually takes about 5 minutes.
