I won't complain as much.... But where is the fairness in this system? Does one have to work a 9-5 to find parking. Block parties every weekend... come home after a later night shift and nothing is available.. There is not enough parking lots garages to go around.

Was issued a ticket last month no notice was left on the vehicle received a letter stating the date of notice as of September 12, it is currently 19 and I just received. So not only was the ticket not left on the vehicle, but Also I’m receiving the notice a week later. This is why no one in reading likes this department, I had my car parked on the street until I could fix it so it passes inspection, but made sure to move it for the street cleaners, I wouldn’t drive this vehicle as to not get a ticket for driving without inspecting the car only for these scumbags to ticket me anyways.

Hi, Vivian. We have multiple permit types, but the one you're asking about is a residential zone permit. If your block is already a residential zone, you can apply for the permit in person at our office (613 Franklin St.) You will need to bring your driver's license and registration. The address for both must be be in the block where you're requesting the permit. If your block is not yet designated as a residential zone, you can find out more about the process at https://readingparking.com/residential-permit-parking/. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM - 4:45 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Best of luck in your job search!

It's a ticket. Call the office provide ticket number and they can provide you with the amount. Sometimes amount doesn't print on the actual ticket.
