Pretty good hike for fall foliage. Moderate terrains and pretty nice view.

Did this hike late June - yes it was HOT so be sure to hydrate. Went with someone who knew the trails - that was a plus. Did upper falls first then lower falls on the way down. Some shade. Guessing it is rated Moderate because it is relatively steep in some places - more like a scramble. I have bad knees so it took me much longer than projected times for this hike, especially heading back down. All in all a great hike. Oh and Iβd skip starting at the trail head if possible - the initial switchbacks (from the marked parking lot) through centuries old Lake Bonneville silt was like a Freddie Kruger movie - running through tar and not going anywhere π€£π€£π€£. Hard pass.

Super busy--lots of people with kids out on the trail. Went on a Saturday late-morning. Trail is riddled with the smell of urine and doggie-doo as people don't really pick up after thier animals much on this trail. Rated as moderate but should be rated as hard. It is consistently steep in several areas. No shade for the first half mile. Beautiful waterfall at the top. Great photo-op.

Yes it is, just need to guide them always and help them out with caution.
You won't want to take your horse to the waterfall itself. But I have met a gentleman that rides his horse across the hillside there.
EXCELLENT question. It would be nice to go have a look, myself!! THANK YOU for the idea =) I think that I'd like to even consult the DNR or someone to see if I can do some replanting, seeding on the way, and go check it out!!
Absolutely. Make sure to bring a leash b/c there will be lots of pups on the trail. Everyone is usually really good about keeping or putting leashes on when they see other hikers.
About two mile.
Usually takes us around 1hr and 15 mins. That's with a steady pace and frequent brakes
There is no fee, and it is open 24/7, this is a public, free trail meaning you can visit any time without paying.
