Decided to give Layton Commons Park a try, and my child asked if we could try the museum while walking by. I was nervous bringing a toddler to a historyvmuseum but I'm very glad I did. Well organized and informative, and two kid areas with very cute activities to try like a little play garden, typewriter, and small archeological dig. Very welcoming staff, and a lot to interesting things to see.

It was fun! The kids did a scavenger hunt, made yarn dolls and square danced for the 24th of July. It's a gem!

This is such a gem in the community! I’ve been here several times over the years and this most recent visit was the best! Annie, the curator, is so friendly and knowledgeable which makes all the difference! The exhibits are well put together and ver informative. Thank you for taking pride in our community! Will definitely be returning in a while to enjoy some new exhibits and activities! If you haven’t been to the Heritage Museum lately, go check it out!

I had a great time learning about the history of Layton City while at this museum. It's a perfect quiet getaway while the kids play in the park. The exhibits were thorough and the museum director, Annie, had a great knowledge of the history as well as a refreshing way to impart this knowledge on her guided tour. If you're looking for a cool, quiet spot to get out of the hot Utah sun while learning some interesting facts, this is the place.
