I'm so sick of the driver that comes to my neighborhood. Constantly our trash is getting skipped. Literally a note welas left today saying basketball hoop was too close. 18 feet away is plenty far away enough to get the trash can. There has been so many times that he finds what ever reason to not pickup our trash and it's a pain to get them to come back out and get it. I wish there was not only one service in the area because it is horrendous that we can't have a competitor do the job right. Waste Management have the worst drivers ever. Just do your job. Isn't that hard.

They appear to make a great effort to deal with trash and recycling.

Incredibly grateful they offer mixed recycling drop off for free. Large white bins at main building. Wish my city did. Remember no bags, just dump them out at recycling center. Bags and plastic wrapping to grocery store recycling drop off boxes. 💗 🌎

Pretty well organized, usually clean overall. Some of the staff have everyone park/backup too close at times - especially for people who don’t know how to backup a trailer lol. Sometimes it’s better to give others room to unload quicker. But I like this dump way more than others here in Utah.

We accept electronic waste at the Household Hazardous Waste facility which is located at the landfill. There is no charge for District residents (Davis and Morgan Counties, except Bountiful City). Hours are the same as the landfill, 7am to 6pm, Monday thru Saturday.
There is no charge to drop off recyclables at the Davis Landfill. We accept all types of plastic, paper, cardboard, aluminum and steel (tin) cans. We are also preparing to place a glass recycling bin soon. The bins are accessible during regular landfill operating hours, 7am-6pm, Monday through Saturday. Check our website for early holiday closures and for news about our glass bin, www.wasatchintegrated.org. Thanks for asking!
The landfill is open until 2pm on Veterans Day.
Wasatch has recycling bins placed at the landfill for customer use. They’re just inside the landfill gates, to the west, and accessible during landfill hours, 7-5, Monday through Saturday. Visit our website for more info, www.wasatchintegrated.org.
Wasatch can accept automotive parts for disposal. Any parts containing fluids must be drained before delivery to the landfill. We do not accept automobiles or auto bodies, which are best disposed of or recycled at an auto wrecking yard
Yes, we've taken old mattresses there. My husband took it, so don't know if they charge extra.
Unfortunately, we do not recycle mattresses. We would like to implement mattress recycling in the future. We do accept mattresses and box springs for disposal at the Davis Landfill. Regular fees apply. Visit our website, www.wasatchintegrated.org for more information. Thanks for asking.
Currently residents of the District pay a $5 flat fee per pickup or single axle trailer for waste delivered to the landfill. Larger loads are weighed at $32 per ton with a $5 minimum fee. Beginning May 15, 2019, Wasatch will charge $5 per piece (mattress or box spring) to cover the cost of recycling. Mattresses and box springs are shredded and used as alternative fuel where coal would have been burned. More information about this process can be found on Wasatch's website, www.wasatchintegrated.org. Thank you.
Please ask your dad to give us a call at (801) 614-5600. The operator will connect you with someone who can answer that question. Thanks for the inquiry.
Wasatch Integrated accepts refrigerators for $15 per unit at the landfill, located in Layton. That pays for the cost of coolant removal as required by the EPA. There is no additional disposal charge. Refrigerators can be dropped off at the landfill during regular hours, Monday through Saturday, 7am-5pm. Please visit our website, www.wasatchintegrated.org or call (801) 614-5600 with any questions. Thanks!
Yes
If the tire isn't any larger than a pickup truck tire, the cost will be $2 per tire. If the tire is larger, you may want to take it to Liberty Tire in SLC. They take all sizes. Please call (801) 614-500 if you have additional questions.
$5/small truck load for residences.
If the tubes are from a household, you may dispose of them in your garbage can (there is a legal household exemption). If they are from a business, they are considered hazardous waste and no exemption applies. Fluorescent tubes from a household may also be delivered to the landfill with other trash. Fluorescent tubes are generally not recycled because the cost is high. Please call (801) 614-500 if you have additional questions.
Please contact the city, (801) 336-3800 or Waste Management of Utah, who is Layton City's hauler. Wasatch Integrated Waste Management District operates the landfill in Layton and does not haul waste or provide household containers.
